Crossing Point Residency

Photo-Festivals believes that mobility is an intrinsic part of the creative artistic process that can truly enhance and enrich an artist’s work.

With this in mind, Photo-Festivals invites a photographer to travel and attend for the first time in his/her career a photography festival in Europe.

Crossing Point residency is designed to help the photographer-in-residence network with other like-minded international photographers and practitioners. The photographer-in-residence is placed in a shared house to exchange experiences and respective photography practice with his or her peers and fully enjoy the festival's activities and spirit.
Photo-Festivals arrange meetings and portfolio reviews for the photographer-in-residence to receive feedback and create contacts with renowned practitioners in the field of contemporary photography.

	Following the success of the first Crossing Point residency, Photo-Festivals has been pleased to repeat the experience, inviting Filippino photographer Vicente Jaime (“Veejay”) Villafranca to the Festival Visa pour l’Image 2008 in Perpignan.

	Photo-Festivals was thrilled to launch its residency program Crossing Point with Colombian artist Juan Pablo Echeverri, who we invited to Les Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles 2008.
